Oil supply disruptions from the Strait of Hormuz are already sending ripple effects across Southeast Asia’s energy markets, pushing electricity costs higher and increasing uncertainty for businesses. Closer to home, Malaysia’s Energy Commission has also cautioned that consumers should be prepared for rising electricity tariffs this year.
